All Aboard! Sail Your Way Into Spring

All Aboard Fashionistas!  Spring has finally arrived into the port just in time for our fav resort and nautical wear to surface.  I am a huge fan of pin-stripes and anchors, and cannot wait to wear my navy and white striped dress with my gold open-toed sandals!  Michael Kors has come out with some amazing nautical wear such as handbags, sweaters and great dresses.  Mixing strips and soft tan and shades of camel were the big hit on MK's runway!  MK also came out with new watches that are to die for with navy faces. Navy is the new black.

Phresh Out the Runway

So, last night of course was one of the best nights of our lives because we went to see our fav girl Rihanna perform in Hartford!  Currently on her Diamonds Tour, Rihanna was better than ever.  We are obsessed RIRI fans, and went to her last concert too so thank goodness she was able to perform considering her flu and laryngitis scare this past week which caused her to cancel a couple of shows. She was rocking long blonde locks with half of her head shaved and of course a glowing complexion.  Her set list included:

As you can see, pretty much all these songs are anthems to every bad bitch's life (aka our lives).  Yes, we know every word to every song and yes we were "those girls" with our hands up in the air, screaming at the top of our lungs and dancing like we were in the club.  Being obsessed with Rihanna is a lifestyle, not just a hobby.  

In addition to amazing music, of course there was amazing fashion.  Rihanna truly is the best of the best when it comes to dressing outrageous and chic. She is constantly "phresh out the runway" with her amazing shoes and wardrobe choices.   We were in love with her white Christian Louboutin thigh-high boots!  All RIRI's outfits were created by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy. "Rihanna represents what young and amazing means today,” Tisci says in a statement. “She is the face of her generation.”  Well he did an amazing job with her phresh new looks! We found love in Rihanna's wardrobe. 

Overall, we had an amazing and unforgettable night! Until next time RIRI, we will see you again.

Of course I can't stay away from Nordstrom so I had to go check out the new spring handbags! Loving the Michael Kors nautical look and the light pink Marc Jacobs! Not to mention sandals have arrived! Get Amazing Eyebrows

Something simple that completes your face: filling in your eyebrows! Something I started doing 4 years ago, before that I thought it was useless, now if I leave the house and forget to fill in my eyebrows I feel like my makeup is incomplete.

Eyebrows frame your face and the shape of your brows should really be carefully decided. My best advice for keeping a great shape is to have them waxed (by a professional) and then pluck any stray hairs as they grow in that way you can keep the shape and pay for an eyebrow wax once a month.

*** Filling in your eyebrows can save you from accidental bad plucking incidents*** Plucked your brows drunk & freaking out the next morning? The brow pencil or powder is now your new best friend.

I usually fill my eyebrows in with a dark brown pencil and a little bit of dark brown powder. (Your brows are always darker than your hair color)

Recently my friend Sarah Introduced me to products by Joey Healy, who does eyebrows in New York City for many celebrities. He sells a powder (in more than one color), a brush for application and serum to set the powder with.

Another friend of mine told me about Michelle Money's (from the bachelor) YouTube channel and she has some great tutorials and makeup advice. So I am going to attach the link for her eyebrow tips:



Remember: Think before you pluck. And never ever pluck your eyebrows after a few glasses of wine. Pencils are meant to fill in your eyebrows- not draw an entire eyebrow on. Opt for professional waxing for shape and plucking for upkeep.

Trendy Tuesday!

Ciao fashionistas! It's C here with your weekly Tuesday trend.  This week I am obsessed with the spring trend of contrasting! Black and white back-to-basics style is in for this spring and I'm looking forward to it.  As we all know, neon colors will still be in as well as prints, but the contrast look will be a fun alternative to allow yourself to strive away from brights and prints.  Marc Jacobs and Celine do it best for this season along with Chanel and Phillip Lim.  I desperately need a black and white blazer for this spring!

DVF loves ROXY

OMG OMG OMG! I cannot believe that Diane Von Furstenberg and ROXY have teamed up to create a new clothing and swimwear line. The line is called DVF LOVES ROXY (AND SO DO WE!). It is to die for, and also pretty reasonably priced considering DVF is a partial designer.  The launch party took place last night where famous celebs strutted their stuff in the new line! Vanessa Hudgens loves ROXY and supported their collaboration with DVF by showing off her DVF blazer and heels! When taking a peek at the new line, Diane's vivacious prints are present with ROXY's clean cut swimwear lines. I cannot wait until more prints are released!  As Diane and Roxy would say fashionistas, "follow your heart & dare" for the rest of the week & let's all get in that bikini mindset! (AKA gym and dieting will continue esp. after seeing those beautiful bathing suits).

Have you seen any flower wrap hand bands lately? They're the newest trend & just in time for spring. I can't wait to try one. I saw a bunch yesterday at Urban Outfitters. I think they are best paired with a simple colored shirt rather than a pattern (too busy for me). What are your thoughts? Are you giving into flower power this Spring? Lol :)

A&C take AC: Atlantic City

We had an amazing time this weekend in Atlantic City! Of course our fashion followed us there. Who doesn't pack a suit case or a separate shoe bag for a 2 night stay? From sock buns, to red lips, nude lips, smokey eyes, tights & heels we were of course fashion forward this weekend :) Here are some of our pictures! I gave the "nude lip" trend a go & Chelsea rocked an awesome sock bun with a black studded shirt! I love seeing different outfits that everyone wears when we are in new places, it's a great way to see new trends-- but you will almost always find a few fassholes. We witnessed a few fashion disasters this weekend as well. We thank the style gods that it was not us!
